You would probaby kickstart things better after 37 weeks. I think doing anything now wouldn't do much, or at least, it would just progress really slowly. I've got 3 more days til I have the "go ahead" to get off my couch and do things, but I was actually pretty active yesterday- and to my suprise, I had no contractions from it! i thought for sure the minute i start doing things, I'd go back into labor, but it hasn't happened yet…
My doc told me you could walk around 4 cm dialated for weeks and it doesn't mean much unless you have the contractions with it…. so I'm guessing how much you dialate isn't a factor on when you will deliver..I dunno lol!
I guess everything is just a guessing game from here! (GRRR LOL!)
Make sure you keep us posted when it actually does happen!

Hi. If you want to speed things up I would personally wait another 2 weeks just so baby has developed and grown as much as possible. Despite being 3cm dilated it could still take weeks. Could be a couple of days or you could find yourself going 2 weeks over. That's the joys of labour, it is soooo unpredictable lol. To speed things up when you are ready to, I suggest the age old favourites of lot's of sex and spicy foods. You could also try walking lot's and driving hard over speed bumps. A glug of cod liver oil is supposed to work but personally i'd rather be pregnant for 12 months then drink that stuff lol. I was told raspberry tea works although i'm not sure how??? Try sticking some good dance music on and jiggle that baby out lol. Good luck (",)
