Is my fetal doppler working ok?
I rented a doppler from ebay, its a HI BEBE design. I am only 9 weeks so wasn't really expecting to hear much just yet. The thing is I am not sure if it is working properly. It has alot of interference sounds even when not against anything and I also can't hear my pulse on my wrist….should I not be able to hear this? What do you guys think?

give it a few hrs then try again hun, sometimes the baby moves around lots so it can be hard to find the heartbeat. i just got mine 2day and its fantastic, im 26 weeks and picked the heartbeat up straight away, altho i had to re-position it a few times cus she was constantly moving lol!

Most fetal dopplers don't work until the third trimester. They often say they work from 20 weeks, but I don't know of anybody who has been able to hear the baby's heart beat before 30. I'm pretty sure that 9 weeks is even too early for the hospital dopplers to be able to pick up the heart beat.

Yes it works ok it picks up more than the baby's heart beat it will also pick up your pulse so don't confuse that with your baby's.
